‘Down with Estate Agent’s fees’ – this has been my demand for the last few years. In a very ‘Virgin-like’ way, House Revolution has been throwing down the gauntlet to the old established organizations within this industry and we’ve created more than a few ripples along the way!

When I set up House Revolution in 2006, it was to make a difference to this industry and force it to change for the better. I’m proud to say that it is starting to happen and we’re happy to take the credit! How many adverts have to seen or heard lately where agents are offering discounts on their fees? There are several, in case you missed them. But the fact is that fees are coming down in response to the challenge we pose to other estate agents with our low fixed fee. I would just say that they have a long way to go to match our £699!

We also know it’s not always about the costs. Our other focus is excelling in customer service, supported by our mantra of honesty and transparency. I’ll let you be the judge on how the other agents are doing there!

I’d like to be getting everyone’s business. I get a cross and my heart sinks when I see for sale boards go up outside houses because I think how much money these poor people are about to lose, but I also understand that there are many elements within the decision making process that leads people to select agents. However, I know that we are on more and more people’s short-lists now and that’s good for everyone.
